What sets us apart
RCS Richter Cooling Systems GmbH was established in 2002 in Bochum, under the name Richter Consultancy & Service GmbH. The idea of establishing a service company “focussing on all things cooling tower related“ came as a result of growing market demand.
Since then we have been able to impress hundreds of companies with our services, which rely on our employees’ decades of experience – even going back several years prior to the foundation of RCS – within the cooling tower industry, and which guarantee reliability. Expansion and successes confirm our efforts.

Our philosophy
RCS develops every solution in good conscience and with a high level of commitment, and is happy to provide assistance with any questions regarding wet cooling. The company is very socially engaged, acts responsibly with regard to environmental issues and is an active member of our society.
Customer satisfaction

On this basis, the most important objective is complete customer satisfaction, by means of the delivery of a complete, flawless product. This includes optimal consultation, the delivery of the highest quality and long-term after-sales care. We utilise our experience on a daily basis to provide customers with solutions that guarantee low operating costs, good reliability and long life, from the moment of installation until the performance of maintenance.
Regarding environmental protection
In our opinion, cooling processes must go hand in hand with the protection of the environment. The thermal energy exchange should include the environmentally conscious use of natural resources and with the proper utilisation of their efficiency, without wasting these resources or causing pollution through their use. Furthermore, there should be an optimal ratio between energy input and cooling performance, that is, resources should be used and, if necessary, disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
RCS considers these factors, in conjunction with financial aspects, to find an optimal solution – both when designing cooling units and when building complete recooling systems.
An environmentally sound approach can occasionally result in higher costs, but more importantly, it is an important investment in protecting the environment.
Our partners
Our partnership with the company MITA has been ongoing for almost 10 years. We have already been able to realise hundreds of projects together.
RCS is the exclusive distributor of modular cooling towers produced by MITA in Germany, and takes condensation cooling towers as the basis for the production of customer-specific wet cooling systems and condensation cooling systems.
MITA
With 20,000 series-produced cooling towers currently in use, MITA is one of the largest manufacturers of modular cooling systems. MITA-Service produces cooling water systems with a container design. Alongside the supply of cooling towers, MITA-Biroulli also supplies waste water treatment and filter systems.
On 01.03.2010 our cooperative partner MITA celebrated its 50-year anniversary.
Our quality assurance
In order to provide customers with a guarantee of our quality, environmental awareness and safety, RCS has been certified in accordance with the most recent DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and SCC** standards since 2003. The management systems introduced internally for this purpose are “lived out” as part of the daily work of all employees and are continually redeveloped.
“SCC” is an international standard for health, safety and environmental protection management standard for technical service providers working on a client’s premises. SCC can be acquired together with the ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certificates.
“ISO 9001” is an international quality management standard.
“ISO 14001” is an international environmental management standard.
